THE INN

Streetscape in front of Inn

Originally, the offices and waiting room for the Northwest Improvement Company’s local dentist, The Spruce Moose Inn is a charming, tiny, European style inn. Quiet and cozy, this hidden treasure, located in the heart of historic downtown Roslyn, Washington is something you won’t want to miss!

Three rooms share two bathrooms and a kitchenette. A common area boasts local history, town and trail maps, county event calendars, as well as family games.

The three rooms sleep ten. Renting the entire Inn offers a great space for a family reunion, a crafting or company retreat, or temporary local housing for out-of-town work crews with nightly, weekly, or monthly rates. Close to Suncadia wedding events, the Spruce Moose Inn provides comfortable, affordable rooms for family and guests.

Just below the Inn is the Red Bird Café where you will find your morning brew of Batdorf and Bronson coffee and scrumptous breakfast specialties. If you stay through lunch you will discover why this little café was rated among the top fifteen sandwich shops in the state.

The Inn has a strict non-smoking and no-pets policy.

High Country Log Show

Roslyn is a vibrant little community of approximately 900 people set in the Cascade mountain range eighty miles east of Seattle.

Roslyn is known for many things, but most significant are:

  • Its spectacular outdoors environment, and its access to the Alpine Wilderness area.
  • Its history as a vibrant, turn of the century, coal mining town.
  • Its reputation as a setting for movies and television programs, including Northern Exposure, The Runner Stumbles and most recently the Amazon Prime pilot for the Ridley Scott series Man In The High Castle.
Staying at the Spruce Moose Inn situates you across the street from the Northern Exposure KBHR set where you would have heard “Chris in the Morning” during the six year run of this program. (You might still catch some of these broadcasts on KBHR.net. Check it out!) Next door to KBHR you’ll find Fused, where you can easily spend the day designing your own glass plate, jewelry or Christmas ornament. Or stop in at Hope Gallery and shop for local arts and crafts. Across the street you’ll find The Kitchen Sink, known as the Sur La Table of Kittitas County.

On the next corner you will find the World Famous Brick Saloon, the oldest continuously operating saloon in the state of Washington. If you are here in March you might catch the annual boat race in the Brick’s, still flowing, brass spittoon. Right next door to the Spruce Moose Inn, you’ll find the award winning Roslyn Candy Company where you can pick up a decadent truffle or a bag of old fashioned candies.
